The Desert Mountain 30th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

Our members kick-off Thanksgiving Day with a burst of energy at our 30th Annual Desert Mountain Turkey Trot! This beloved 5K Fun Run & Mile Fun Run/Walk is a cherished family tradition. Members join together in a complimentary ‘tot-trot’, enjoy a family fun zone, and indulge in post-run refreshments. It’s the perfect way to start Thanksgiving with enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Fitness Hike with the Outdoor Adventure Team

Every third Thursday of the month, including this November, members have the unique opportunity to join Desert Mountain’s expert guides for an exhilarating fitness hike. This month’s adventure starts at the Granite Mountain Trailhead, featuring a 7-mile hike with a 585-foot elevation gain. It’s not just a hike. It’s a chance to connect with nature, fellow members, and work on fitness goals in the beautiful landscapes of North Scottsdale.

Turkey Days Kids Camp

Members bring their kids to Sonoran for a Thanksgiving kids camp. Campers will have an action-packed day that may include an outdoor activity, holiday-inspired crafts, visits to the playground, and more.

Dodgeball Tournament

If you’re going to become true dodgeballers, then you’ve got to learn the five D’s of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge! The Thanksgiving dodgeball tournament is back! Members will come together in a team of six to compete in this double elimination tournament on the Sonoran tennis courts.
