Desert Mountain is home to six private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, the world’s largest collection of courses designed by the legendary golfer. Our Members can experience unmatched variety, with each course providing an individual playing experience at all skill levels. Dramatic elevation changes, rolling fairways, impeccable course conditions, and far-reaching views of Scottsdale and Metro Phoenix distinguish Desert Mountain’s 126 holes from other desert courses. Nowhere else can you find a collection of courses with exclusively grown green grass varieties that remain richly green and ready for Members to enjoy year round.
RENEGADE course
The first of our courses to open in 1987, this Jack Nicklaus Signature Course was once described by Golf Magazine as “the most versatile course in the world,” and was recently renovated to include seven tee boxes and two pin placements on every hole.
GERONIMO course
This dramatic course is considered one of the most visually intimidating at Desert Mountain, with significant elevation changes, deep ravines, broad fairways, and stunning plateaus for consistently challenging play.
APACHE course
This gracefully winding course provides a more traditional approach to the game, with rolling fairways, ample greens, and deceptively sloping putting surfaces.
OUTLAW course
Designed in an effort to enhance the natural landscape, this links-style course is bordered by the spectacular beauty of the Tonto National Forest, with clear views of Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Mountains, and Four Peaks.
COCHISE course
Encompassed by the lush Sonoran Desert, this challenging course has played host to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and The Tradition PGA TOUR Champions event, which designer Jack Nicklaus won four times here.
CHIRICAHUA course
The pinnacle of Jack Nicklaus’ design achievements, this distinctive course is a favorite of Members and guests, and features year-round, cool-season turf and striking changes in elevation, providing players with endless variety and the most scenic desert views.
